Intertwined: A Tribute to Water and Nature is an 80-foot-long sculptural artwork designed for the San Antonio Botanical Gardens 45th anniversary exhibition “Reflections of Nature.” Inspired by the transformation from Brackenridge Waterworks to the botanical gardens, the installation features flowing, ribbon-like forms varying in height from 5 to 12 feet, symbolizing the movement of water and nature’s vitality. Crafted with bent laminate wood panels and supported by steel beams, the piece integrates abstracted water and floral imagery inspired by Overstreet’s past works. Installed in the Mays Family Display Garden, it offers a dynamic, 360-degree experience while promoting conversations about history, sustainability, and nature’s beauty.
